This page describes the general terms for using VU Prime in plain language. It's written to be a clear, reasonable product agreement — not a substitute for legal advice. If you need a formal legal opinion about these terms, consult a lawyer.

1. What VU Prime is

VU Prime is a Chrome extension that automates parts of the Virtual University of Pakistan (VU) portal workflow — fee challan marking, admission form filling, student record lookup, and WhatsApp messaging — for authorised staff at VU campuses. It is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Virtual University of Pakistan.

2. Account access

Access to VU Prime is tied to your Google account email. There is no separate VU Prime password to create or manage. Your subscription — which email addresses are active, what plan they're on, and how many devices they can use — is controlled on our servers and checked automatically each time you use the extension. You're responsible for keeping your own Google account secure; VU Prime never sees or stores your Google password.

3. Subscription and activation

VU Prime is offered as a paid subscription (monthly, yearly, or lifetime access, depending on what's arranged at activation). New subscriptions are currently activated manually after contacting us — there is no automatic self-service signup yet. Renewal, plan changes, and device-limit adjustments are also handled by contacting us directly until a self-service option is introduced. 4. Acceptable use

You agree to use VU Prime only for legitimate VU campus administrative work that you are already authorised to perform manually through the VU portal — VU Prime automates actions you could otherwise do yourself, it doesn't grant new permissions. You agree not to:

Where VU Prime processes student information (for example, through Admission AutoFill), you remain responsible for handling that information appropriately and in line with your own obligations as VU campus staff. See our Privacy Policy for exactly what is and isn't transmitted or stored.

6. Intellectual property

VU Prime — its code, design, and branding — belongs to its developer. Your subscription gives you a personal, non-transferable right to use the extension for your own campus work for as long as your subscription is active. It doesn't give you any ownership of VU Prime itself, and you may not copy, resell, or redistribute it.

7. Service availability

VU Prime depends on Virtual University's own portal, Google's services, and our own backend all being available and behaving as expected. We aim to keep the service reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access — VU portal changes, maintenance, or an outage on our end or a third party's can affect availability. We'll fix problems as quickly as we reasonably can.

8. No guarantee of outcomes

VU Prime is a productivity tool, not a guarantee. You're responsible for reviewing what it fills in or submits on your behalf — the extension is deliberately built to require your review before anything final is submitted. We aren't responsible for outcomes on VU's own systems, errors in data you supplied, or decisions VU makes about any application or record.

9. Termination

You can stop using VU Prime at any time by uninstalling the extension and contacting us to end your subscription. We may suspend or end access for accounts that violate these terms, misuse the service, or where a subscription has expired and hasn't been renewed. Where reasonably possible, we'll let you know if we suspend your access and why.

10. Changes to these terms

If these terms change in a way that matters, we'll post the update here and note the new date at the top of the page.
